    Job Description

    The Director of Labor Relations is responsible for providing leadership and direction to field operations on all labor and employee relations matters. Represents management in labor relations, including negotiation, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Extensive expertise in labor relations including anticipating and handling union organizing campaigns
    · Provides labor relations support during contract negotiations; acts as a liaison between operations managers and union representatives; provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding the resolution of employee and labor relations issues
    · Represents the employer in labor negotiations and grievance/arbitration matters
    · Cultivates effective working relationships with labor leadership as appropriate
    · Manages and provides HR expertise, including advice and counsel, to operations with an emphasis on labor and employee relations efforts
    Evaluate the results of HR initiatives that impact field operations and results, providing value-added services to internal customers that focus on strategic HR planning, advice and consultative services
    Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations, including providing internal and external reporting as required
    Ensure change management is incorporated into strategies
    Establish and maintain relationships with all levels of management and employees
    Ensure fair and consistent practices and compliance with EEO requirements, regulations, FCC, Federal, State, local and company requisitions, policies and procedures
    Support management in resolving employee relations issues including coaching, counseling, and discipline Manage Open Door concerns and employee relations issues in a consistent manner to minimize liability
    Align business strategy to HR deliverables
